About the role

I am searching for motivated independent lifestyle support workers to assist in my everyday life.

To work in my support team, it is essential that you have:

• Strong English spelling and grammar skills
• Australian Business Number (ABN)
• Public liability insurance (or be willing to obtain)
• Private vehicle with comprehensive insurance and road side assistance.
• Height of 165cm or more to assist me with mobility
• Current Blue card or Yellow card, First Aid & Police Check (or be willing to acquire these items)

This role is one day per week (8 hrs/day) – on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday in Carindale area. There is a possibility of other days on a casual basis to support staff absences and holidays.

Your support will assist me in all activities of daily living in my own home and in the community. I require an energetic and friendly person who is willing to follow instructions, be active, social and communicative throughout the day.

Your strong English language and spelling skills are important because communication occurs through the use of tactile finger spelling, which you will learn as you work.

Note: A person with working knowledge of Indonesian or Malaysian language would be a bonus in this role to support communication with international charity organisations.
