The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. Sustainable Port Phillip is one of Council’s five strategic directions. Council is recruiting a number of key roles to join a team of highly skilled professionals who are passionate about environmental sustainability and experts in their field.
This position will lead Council’s sustainable design functions to embed sustainability in the design and construction of private developments and Council’s assets.
The successful applicant will be responsible for building the capacity of the organisation to implement best practice Environmentally Sustainable Development, including improving collaboration, providing advice to staff and the development community.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated leadership skills and a track record of contributing to a high performing multi-disciplinary team that is aligned, engaged, collaborative, focussed on customer service and value for the community and leading cultural change.
