Pay to be negotiated depending on experience and qualifications.

This Position Involves:

  • Overseeing, developing, and facilitating ‘Life Plan’ workshops.
  • Establishing and maintaining ‘networks of support’/circles, either directly or in a supervisory role.
  • Supporting families to transition their networks into an incorporated entity (microboard).
  • Liaising with clients and organising small scale events.
  • Supporting the Operations Manager as required and maintaining regular and detailed records.
  • Liaising with the Board and the Operations Manager.

  • Self-motivated, creative, with a broad vision that is not limited by the barriers presented by a severe disability.
  • Understands the challenges and difficulties faced by people with severe disabilities and their families.
  • Embraces the concept of person-centred planning as the basis for developing networks and systems within PlanNET.
  • Welcomes the challenge of solving problems and involving others in the process.
  • Enjoys building bridges between people and is prepared to stand by them as relationships are built.
  • Good communication skills across a wide range of people, including people with a disability, families, support networks, funding bodies, employees in the disability sector and the community at large.
  • Understands the value of community involvement, and has their own personal community networks.
  • Recognises the contribution people with a disability can make to their community.
  • Understands the primacy of freely-given relationships in people’s lives and the need to limit the controlling influence of human services.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the NDIS and disability sector (not essential but advantageous)
  • Flexibility of work hours
  • Current driver’s license – will be required to use own vehicle (travel allowance to be negotiated)
  • Appropriate DCSI screening (or be prepared to obtain)
  • Mandatory Reporting Training (or prepared to undertake)

Formal qualifications may be an advantage but are not essential. If you are self-motivated and creative with a broad vision that is not limited by the barrier presented by a severe disability, then please apply for this position.
