About the role:

This position is responsible for leading the ongoing strategic development of the Australian Circular Economy (ACE) Hub and Marketplace to ensure their relevance and value for Australia’s transition to a circular economy. This includes working with the wider CE team to ensure the Hub’s on going financial viability and to position the ACE Hub as a leader in CE collaboration and innovation in Australia.

The role will work in conjunction with the Head of CE Programs to be responsible for government and funder deliverables. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with all relevant stakeholders, including business and government, as well as working with the Partnerships team to investigate and identify new opportunities for ACE Hub funding.

This is a full-time role based in our city office in Sydney's Haymarket - a convenient location close to Central, shops and right across from Belmore Park. Flexible and working-from-home arrangements are standard practice. Remuneration is a $100k+ package which includes salary, super and additional benefits.

Essential criteria:

  1. Strong knowledge of and passion for CE principles and practice
  2. Entrepreneurial, innovative and collaborative mindset
  3. Systems thinker
  4. Good general knowledge of business and government sectors
  5. Experience developing and bringing a product/project to market
  6. A proven track record of successful stakeholder/partner engagement and ability to build strong relationships
  7. Experience in complex stakeholder management and coordination
  8. A strong ability to take complex concepts and communicate them in a way that generates excitement and interest
  9. Strong communication and presentation skills
  10. Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  11. Experience engaging appropriate consultants and managing these external relationships to achieve a desired aim
  12. Sound knowledge of environmental issues

Desirable criteria:

  1. Experience in implementing CE principles and/or programs
  2. Experience in database management
