About the role

The Executive Director – Corporate Services, known internally as Executive Director Business Services, will assist the Board, CEO and Executive colleagues, and will provide them with timely and accurate advice. The role will lead the Corporate Services team (IT, Property and HR), promoting a strong service culture, ensuring the team is cost effective, solution focused and responsive to the operational and strategic needs of the organisation. The Executive Director – Corporate Services will make a positive contribution to the leadership of IBA and manage risk appropriately.

About you

As the Executive Director – Corporate Services, you will represent IBA in a range of forums and maintain effective working relationships at senior levels with a wide range of stakeholders and interested parties. You will continue to develop and implement initiatives that build individual and organisational capability, performance, and culture. You may be required to travel within Australia on a regular basis, if required.

Selection Criteria

  1. INDIGENOUS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: Awareness of the economic development aspirations of, and commitment to working ethically with and in the interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  2. LEADERSHIP: Experience leading multi-disciplined teams, ideally in a financial services or government context.
  3. EXPERTISE: Relevant tertiary qualifications with those in ICT, human resources, organisational development, and digital transformation being particularly well-regarded.
  4. CULTURAL CAPABILITY: Cultural capability including a respect for diversity and ability to communicate sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
  5. COMMUNICATION: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to write professionally, concisely and with clarity; and the ability to present to other individuals or groups; and communicate advanced concepts and issues concisely both verbally and in writing.
  6. STRATEGY & TRANSFORMATION: Experience in supporting strategy development, the successful delivery of strategic outcomes, and leading organisation-wide transformation projects.

  • An attractive remuneration package with an option of 15.4% superannuation + salary packaging through IBA’s PBI status.
  • 4 weeks Annual Leave, with half pay Annual Leave available.
  • 18 days cumulative personal/carer’s leave.
