The ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA) is a progressive organisation that prioritises its people and is responsible for emergency management and related support arrangements in the Territory. The ESA Commissioner is responsible for the strategic direction and management of the Agency and four operational emergency services, achieving this with an executive team that is creative, innovative and aligned. The various business units within the Collaboration, Community Engagement and Intelligence Support Branch work in a collaborative manner providing specialist support to the ESA Executive, the operational services of the ESA and external agencies.
The Assistant Commissioner/EBM - Collaboration, Community Engagement and Intelligence Support Branch brings together a ‘whole of capability’ focus to ESA investment and sustainment across all operational services.
The Assistant Commissioner/EBM - Collaboration, Community Engagement and Intelligence Support sets the strategic direction and leads the development, planning and delivery preparedness functions and activities across the ESA. The role is accountable for specialist staff and resources and must ensure the provision of expert preparation, emergency warnings, advice and support for emergency management operations.

You will be a capable, organised and astute individual, who will wear many hats within this organisation and require a keen attention to detail, a sound knowledge of policy and a personable demeanour. As an Executive and member of the ESA Executive Leadership Group, you will lead by example, consistently modelling the highest standards of values and ethics in all practices. You will regularly review and reallocate resources, and work on establishing effective workforce planning and accountability structures that maximises capability to deliver required business outcomes.
