The Public Interest Advocacy Centre (PIAC) is a community legal centre that works for social justice by driving changes to laws, policies and practices that cause or entrench disadvantage, through strategic legal casework and systemic policy advocacy.
PIAC’s Homeless Persons’ Legal Service (HPLS) provides people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness with legal assistance, advice and representation, to protect their human rights and progress our vision of a community where everyone has a safe and secure home. HPLS also addresses the causes of homelessness through strategic policy advocacy.
As part of the HPLS team and reporting to the Managing Solicitor, HPLS, you will coordinate PIAC’s homeless consumer advisory group StreetCare, including:
