Perth City Farm is a not-for-profit urban farm that provides space and opportunities to build community connections and educates and enables people to live sustainably. Our East Perth site is Perth’s original sustainability hub, but our work extends out through the city with education and City Greening projects.

The role:

The Volunteer and Events Coordinator is a key staff person working in a small team to deliver our ‘Community Education Hub’ project. The role will work across two priority areas:

Volunteer Coordinator: Recruit and induct new volunteers into suitable roles and provide on-going support so they get the most out of the experience. Focus on recruiting young people into educational, social roles.

Events Coordinator: Working in partnership with other organisations organise and deliver exciting community events of varying sizes that spark connection e.g. Community picnics, Harvest Festival.

The requirements:

We’re looking for a ‘people person’ who’s passionate about sustainability and community development. It’s essential that you have experience in both working with volunteers and delivering community events. You’re also an organised person, comfortable with competing deadlines and handy with social media.
