Bendigo Foodshare is a vibrant organisation that reduces food insecurity across Central Victoria by collecting and distributing donated food and by supporting the development of food skills.

The Role:

This is an exciting, dynamic and rewarding role for a marketing and fundraising professional. Working to assist the Community Engagement Manager, the Marketing and Fundraising Officer will be responsible for supporting a wide variety of functions associated with fundraising, communications and marketing, to support achievement of Bendigo Foodshare’s overall fundraising and community engagement goals.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the promotion of the Bendigo Foodshare brand so that the organisation’s mission, vision, services and programs are effectively communicated.
• Capture and share stories of our impact through all channels, including our website, social media, newsletter and media releases.
• Provide input into fundraising planning and implementation; supporting a team of fundraising volunteers.
• Develop and maintain reporting frameworks which accurately record fundraising activities, stakeholder contacts and sponsor obligations.  

The Person:

The successful candidate will have a positive, proactive approach to the role and be committed to the values of BFS. They will take pride in their performance and be committed to achieving quality outcomes at all times.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, fundraising or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated success implementing effective marketing and fundraising strategies.
• Demonstrated event, project and stakeholder relationship management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write, edit and proof-read engaging and creative content tailored to multiple channels.
• Skills and experience managing Social Media Platforms including analysis and reporting.
• Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously as well as with the wider team with the ability to lead and motivate colleagues and volunteers to achieve agreed objectives.
• A commitment to the values of Bendigo Foodshare, with the ability to represent the organisation in a professional, sensitive and empathetic manner.
