What You Will Be Doing

As part of the Mental Health Consultation Liaison (MHCL) Team (previously ECATT), you will provide mental health assessment, treatment and support to patients presenting to Frankston Emergency Department. Additionally you will provide support, advice and guidance to non-mental health staff, patients, carers and families and coordinate discharge planning with community mental health and support services

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:

  • Qualifications as Registered Nurse, Social Worker, OT or Clinical Psychologist with relevant registration
  • Extensive experience in the mental health field including acute inpatient or community services
  • Proven ability in the management of clients with a major mental illness and in the techniques of assessment, crisis intervention, counselling and psychosocial rehabilitation
