What You Will Be Doing

This innovative permanent, full time position responds to children affected by family violence. The multi-disciplinary Strength2Strength team is made up of child counsellor, family therapist, sexual assault counsellor, readiness practitioners and a community support coordinator. Together they wrap therapeutic services around parents and children affected by family violence to support recovery. Service is delivered by outreach and centre-based supports across the Bayside-Peninsula Area.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:

  • Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy and maintain current registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated capacity to deliver therapeutic interventions for victims of Family Violence.
  • Established skills and commitment to working in child-centred and family-focused practices including skills in working with vulnerable and disadvantaged families.
  • Substantial experience providing evidence–based therapy services to children and their families within the community sector including group work.
  • Highly effective interpersonal communication skills.
