Penrith Disabilities Resource Centre has provided Information, Referral & Advocacy Services to people with disabilities & their families & carers who reside in the Nepean, Hawkesbury & Blue Mountains, for over 30 years.
The NSW State Government has committed to continue funding of the NSW Disability Advocacy Program & is currently in the process of remodelling Disability Advocacy Services under the proposed Advocacy Futures Program.
PDRC has an opening for a Casual Advocate - 15 hours per week. There is potential for these hours to increase based on operational need & we anticipate this position will become permanent part-time if funding is continued under the new Advocacy Futures Program.
The successful candidate will possess a minimum Certificate 3 qualification in Disabilities or a Community Services related field, with at least 12 months full time/ or equivalent experience working directly with people with Disabilities.
