We are currently seeking passionate and keen Youth Support Worker to join our PCYC Townsville Youth Club in our Project Booyah initiative. If you are enthusiastic and have a gusto for increasing youth involvement in programs and events, then we want you!

Your New Role

Reporting to the Youth Club Manager, you will be one of our many valuable Youth Support Workers in Project Booyah that focuses on early intervention of criminogenic behaviours and attitudes of at-risk young people. You will assist in re-engaging young people in their education at school and transition to the workforce.

Please note - this is a fixed term contract to cover Maternity Leave.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as community services, youth work (Certificate IV highly desirable), outdoor education, behaviour management, education, youth and community development, human services or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in youth programs and youth support/case management  
  • Hold a current drivers' licence or a light rigid driver’s licence, and a Restricted Drivers' Authority (or ability to obtain)
  • Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate (or able to obtain)
  • Please note: All PCYC employees are required to complete a National Police Check upon commencement.
  • Blue Card note: "Working With Children Check (Blue Card) No Card, No Start and Restricted Person legislation applies to all applicants".
