Overview:

PCYC are currently seeking an experienced RTO Manager to join our team. The RTO Manager will be responsible for promoting, developing and managing all aspects of the organisation’s RTO.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the growth and expansion of an existing small training division within an established not for profit organisation that has been operating for decades.

The RTO Manager will be responsible for promoting, developing and managing all aspects of the organisation’s RTO. Such duties will include the management of a small team of Trainers and Compliance Officers, developing and implementing a strategy for strong and steady growth, establishing the groundwork for future success.

The salary offered will include tax incentives through salary packaging.

Location:

Currently located at State Office Whalan, early 2021 relocating to Homebush.

Role responsibilities:

  • Full operational and financial management of the training division
  • Ensuring the delivery of training and assessment complies with ASQA registration requirements
  • People management, team leadership and mentoring/coaching RTO staff
  • Creating a strategy and business plan for slow, strong and steady growth
  • Increasing the number of qualifications on scope and training services offered
  • Preparation of targets and marketing plans with an emphasis on achieving positive relationships with employers
  • Customisation of training package qualifications to meet industry needs
  • Ensuring a culture of continuous improvement and identifying/troubleshooting any issues
  • Ensuring training participation, performance and financial targets are achieved
  • Regularly providing reports to the Senior Management Team

To be successful you should:

  • Possess relevant experience in the operational management (including financial management) of an RTO in the past five years
  • Have proven people management experience including leading and motivating teams
  • Have significant industry experience and awareness of developments in the sector
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of ASQA’s functions, the VET Quality Framework and a working knowledge of relevant training packages
  • Be strategic in your thinking and able to prioritise and achieve performance goals in a results-oriented environment
  • Be highly motivated and able to draw on initiative and business development experience to drive future growth, whilst maintaining high-quality training services
  • Possess relevant experience in developing and validating accredited course material including training resources and assessment tools
  • Have highly developed oral and written communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Pay attention to detail and be analytical in your thinking
  • Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110; and
  • Possess a Drivers licence
