Key Responsibilities
Ensure that the agreed outcomes of the project are met
Introduce Compassionate Conversation Series across the project region
Work with project partner La Trobe University to explore the use of the Death Literacy Index
Establish partnerships with key stakeholders for community education program
Work with project partner La Trobe University to implement a Healthy End of Life Project (HELP) in one area or population
Improve collaboration of public health palliative care/ end-of-life initiatives across the region
Essential criteria
Demonstrated skill and ability to manage a time constrained project of similar size, focus and complexity.
Demonstrated organisational skills relevant to meeting timeframes, managing research outputs, organising workshops or online equivalents, liaising with stakeholders and responding to enquiries.
Demonstrated interest in community conversations and engagement as relevant to the scope of the program.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to empathise and collaborate with the target audience (including patients and families, volunteers, manager, community stakeholders).
Competent skills in the use of information technology.
Willingness and ability to travel within the region as required.
Willingness and ability to work within the ethos and policies of the organisation.
In possession of a current NSW driver’s license.
Desirable criteria
Tertiary qualifications in health, management, social sciences or other relevant field.
Knowledge of public health, compassionate communities and/or palliative care services within the heath system.
Knowledge of measurement instruments such as the Death Literacy Index (DLI)
