Kick Start is a social enterprise backed by the PAYCE Foundation and Paynter Dixon Pty Limited. Kick Start offers training and employment opportunities to young people facing barriers to employment. We take on trainees for a period of approx. 6 months during which they learn on the job skills and complete a Cert 3 in Hospitality with our RTO partner.
We operate multiple venues around Sydney including 5 food trailers (with more coming soon), and a production/catering kitchen. In addition to this we get involved in many private and community events with our trailers, coffee carts, and other catering services.
Trailers operate in industrial areas and construction sites Mon - Fri from approx. 6:00am - 2:30pm. Events can be weekends and nights also, however this is an occasional requirement.
The Cafe Manager role will manage one of our food trailers located in the Greater Western Sydney area, and may also include working shifts across our other venues and events, however this is fairly flexible.
As Cafe Manager you will be responsible for managing the day to day operation of the venue, while working with some of our trainees and assisting with their on the job training. The role is hands on and includes making coffees, light cooking, and customer service/cash handling.
