 About us

Pathways is a new organisation managing reports of abuse of minors and adults at risk and sexual misconduct within the Catholic Church in Victoria as well as their claims for resolution.

Pathways Victoria has three distinct functions: engagement and support for people, responding to allegations of abuse and resolution of matters including a monetary payment. It will respond to a person making an allegation related to current or historical child sexual abuse and adult sexual misconduct, conducting investigations that respect the primacy of police processes and comply with any requirements set by the Commissioner for Children and Young People (CCYP) or by Canon Law.

About the role

Pathways is seeking a confident and capable 0.6FTE Accounts Administrator and Practice Manager (Manager), who brings a diverse skill set in providing a high quality, efficient and responsive business and administration support across the organisation. Reporting directly to the Pathways CEO, the Manager is a hybrid role responsible for overseeing administrative operations of the organisation including all accounts functions. As a valued member of the team, the Manager works collaboratively with all team members providing guidance and hands-on support, delivering an exceptional service to meet our organisation and client needs.  

This important role is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking office all-rounder to join our new team. Equally capable of working autonomously, the Manager will have a positive attitude, capable of being self-directed and a skilled communicator.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proficient experience with financial applications, in particular Xero.
  • Proficient experience in payroll processing, in particular Xero and Employment Hero.
  • Ability to adapt and develop relevant processes for accounting purposes.
  • Experience in Microsoft 365 including Teams, Outlook, One Drive as well as Excel and Word.
  • Business Administration, Diploma of Practice Management or Accounts qualifications desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills - someone who loves working with people.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in the management of work undertaken.
  • High level of personal drive and initiative, with a warm and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to think creatively and possess sound research and problem-solving capabilities.

Pathways Victoria, including its Boards of Directors, is committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding Children and Young People Framework. Pathways requires that all applicants undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement, including but not limited to: 

  • a national criminal history check;
  • an international criminal history check where applicants have worked overseas;
  • holding or obtaining a Working with Children Clearance/ equivalent in accordance with state/ territory laws;
  • rights to work in Australia.
