About the role and your responsibilities:

As the Business Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient and effective functioning of Managing Country Together Directorate by taking a lead role in managing a wide range of business and administration functions. You will coordinate the Directorate’s input into corporate processes including planning, reporting, risk management and business continuity, and lead the development and monitoring of the Directorate’s Annual Plan and associated budget. 

You will work closely with all members of the Directorate as well as key internal partners in regions and corporate divisions. You will be a trusted source of advice to Directorate staff on organisational and corporate procedures including procurement and be the key point of administrative, financial and logistical support to teams within the Directorate.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • An ability in analytical problem solving and decision-making
  • Experience in providing expert and technical advice and support for organisational planning and performance
  • Experience in developing and implementing business management and annual plans
  • A current employee Working with Children Check before commencing employment with us

About the branch:

The Business Coordinator is part of the Managing Country Together (MCT) Directorate, which supports Parks Victoria to work effectively with Traditional Owners to manage cultural landscapes across the State. The Directorate is developing and supporting a program of reform that positions and prepares Parks Victoria for a rapidly changing operating environment – in particular with respect to increasing numbers of native title settlements, Registered Aboriginal Parties and jointly managed parks. To enable Parks Victoria to work more effectively with Traditional Owners on the management of cultural landscapes across the state, the Directorate is increasingly working across all parts of the business.
