Palmerston Association is a leading and respected not for profit organisation supporting people with alcohol and other drug issues in Western Australia.

We are seeking motivated people with experience and/or qualifications within the community services and/or alcohol and drug field, who are passionate about improving the lives of people they work with and who will thrive in a dynamic organisation.

We are seeking to fill the following position based in the Great Southern:

• Counsellor / Educator - Dual Diagnosis
• Fixed term part time – 0.6 FTE – 0.8FTE

The counsellor educator will have both a treatment and prevention focus with the aim of reducing harm associated with AOD use and specialising with people who have complex co-occurring mental health and AOD issues. This position will provide a professional AOD service incorporating counselling education and support to clients, families, significant others, other service providers and the local community.

Salary for this position begins at Level 4 – Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2020.
