PACFA is seeking a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Coordinator to organise CPD events and the bi-annual conference for the counselling and psychotherapy profession.

The Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) is a peak body for the counselling and psychotherapy profession in Australia. PACFA’s mission is to advance the counselling and psychotherapy profession and to benefit members of the community who seek the services of counsellors and psychotherapists. In addition, PACFA is home to the College of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Healing Practices.

A key role of the organisation is to provide services for members of PACFA, including providing continuing professional development activities and conferences.

The position of Professional Development Coordinator is responsible for the developing and running PACFA’s CPD activities. This includes coordinating the bi-annual conference, working with PACFA Colleges and Branches to create and deliver CPD opportunities and overseeing ongoing PACFA CPD events.

To be successful in this position you will have high level written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. You will also need to be very organised and have great attention to detail.

This role requires a high level of autonomy but is also works closely with colleagues in a small team environment. You will have an understanding of the Psychotherapy and Counselling profession and/ or experience in the not-for-profit sector. You will need an excellent computer skills (MS 365,Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom), and a knowledge of the iMIS database would be an advantage.
