PACFA, the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, is recruiting for a Membership Officer located at our national office in North Fitzroy.

PACFA is a non-profit membership organisation, which provides support to our Members who come from a range of counselling and psychotherapy modalities. For more information about PACFA, see our website.

Reporting to the Membership Team Leader, the Membership Officer is one of a team of membership support staff who provide telephone support to members and potential members as well as consumers, so excellent telephone skills are a must. The Membership Officer will work to manage and assist clients using the iMIS membership database and will also be involved in assessing applications against member eligibility criteria. The membership team also works with training institutes to promote PACFA membership to students.

The successful candidate will have previous customer service and administrative experience as well as:

• High level written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
• Be able to prioritise various tasks efficiently
• Excellent phone manner in dealing with different types of customers
• Have a proactive attitude and be able to use your own initiative effectively
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent customer service skills
• Some experience using databases would be preferable.
