We are seeking a dedicated, energetic candidate with customer service and sales experience to join our OzHarvest Food App Team. The OzHarvest Food App is our new innovative tool which directly connects food donors, and local charities in food rescue relationships. Use your passion for sustainability and customer service background to drive the growth of our food donor and charity user base around Australia to help divert good food from landfill to go to Australians in need.

OzHarvest was founded by Ronni Kahn in 2004, after noticing the huge amount of delicious consumable food discarded every day. She decided there had to be a better way. OzHarvest now rescues surplus food to feed those in need all around Australia. We also educate the public and our clients about food waste, nutrition and living a healthier lifestyle.

Since Inception OzHarvest has achieved some great milestones:

  • Over 120 million meals delivered
  • Over 44,000 tonnes of food rescued
  • Over 1300 charities helped
  • $1 = 2 meals to those in need

Led by the inspirational Ronni Kahn, we are a passionate team of people who are driven by the purpose and the desire to bring the OzHarvest effect to life everyday.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the sourcing and recruitment of new food donor and agency users
  • Research growth areas for the OzHarvest Food app including understanding agency need, and food donor availability around Australia
  • Manage the undertaking of due diligence checks and on boarding of food donor and agency users
  • Creating, monitoring and maintaining the matchings between food donors and agencies
  • Undertake data entry and administrative tasks, including reporting and feedback
  • Monitoring and driving meeting KPIs for the pace of rollout, and ongoing success of Food Rescue on the system

To be successful in this role

  • Strong sales experience
  • Strong experience in a customer service and relationship building role
  • Experience in managing relationships with third-party providers including stakeholder conflict resolution
  • Strong computer skills including spreadsheet proficiency, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, and reporting visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Valid and current Police Check
  • Valid and current Working With Children Check
