The role:

As a Senior Case Manager in our foster care team you will work from a bright modern office space in Yarraville. Your role will be the effective case management of foster care placements delivering on the permanency objective to provide safe stable care for clients.

The purpose of the position is to improve outcomes for children and young people by delivering services and program outcomes through the support, supervision, and development of clients in the Foster Care program.

Working as part of a large team and as a senior member of that team OzChild are looking for someone who wants to produce better outcomes for foster children and carers, supporting improvement in processes and achievement of client and carer outcomes, whilst encouraging, supporting and mentoring other team members.

What you will do:

  • Case management for carers and children
  • Provide informal peer support, coaching and mentoring of other team members
  • Management of complex situations or stakeholder management
  • Assessment and placement plans
  • Lead the development of confident, competent foster carers
  • Supporting permanency outcomes
  • Contribute to the improvement in process

Who we are looking for:

  • Tertiary Qualification in, Human Services, Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology
  • Advanced and complex knowledge of the foster care system
  • Current driving license (essential)
  • Case management experience
  • Experience in a leadership role or as a mentor
  • Experience conducting assessments in the context of foster care
