Program Manager - Treatment Foster Care Oregon - Toowoomba

OzChild

Our TFCO Story so far…

In QLD we began delivering TFCO in October 2018 with one team - delivering TFCO–C for children aged 7-11 in Toowoomba where this Program Manager will be based. Due to the success of that program we have now expanded our delivery to grow our reach, delivering a second TFCO program from Ipswich.

Treatment Foster Care Oregon (TFCO) is an evidence-based, internationally successful program providing an alternative to residential care and getting children and young people aged 7-11 with complex behaviours back to a stable, family life. Aimed at breaking the cycle of disadvantage, TFCO provides a strength based, relational approach based on social learning and behaviour modification principles, aimed at changing the negative trajectory of behaviour that gets in the way of experiencing positive relationships, stability of placement and engagement with education, peers and the community.

With the stability of having a caring home and the support of the TFCO team, children and young people in the programs show improved behaviour both at home and school.
