OzChild has been working with families delivering Functional Family Therapy – Child Welfare® in Victoria since 2017. Our goal is to reduce the removal rates of children within the state through a strength-based in-home therapeutic programme. The successful applicant will become part of a brand-new team called Family Worx – Following a well-researched Evidence Based Model, FFT-CW is a short-term therapeutic technique which emphasises participation by the family in their home.
As a Family Practitioner using Functional Family Therapy-Child Welfare you will be referred families from OzChild via Family Worx.
Family Worx is OzChild's adoption of the Family Preservation and Reunification response model being rolled out across Victoria by DHHS in partnership with CSO's and ACCO's. The program will provide an integrated service to families in crisis, requiring immediate support and intervention. The service will be supported by the evidence-based model Functional Family Therapy-Child Welfare (FFT-CW).
