The Role

After a recent successful campaign to recruit to this team we have secured another permanent, full time position. The Family Law Services Practitioner delivers an integrated, wrap around, trauma-informed service to families accessing Family Law Services. It holds a critical role focussed on providing effective and efficient mediation and family dispute resolution.

Our office is based at the end of the Great Ocean Road close to whale watching, rocky shores and some of the most dramatic coastal landscape in the country. It is an adventure just to live in Warrnambool!

Rostered work will see you working at home and from OzChild offices across SW Victoria as part of your weekly commitments.

Who we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: Family and community services, group work facilitation, counselling, conflict management and mediation.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills -
    • Engagement and rapport building,
    • Empathy and reflective skills,
    • Supporting service users to find their own solutions.
  • Confidence working in a high paced, agile environment to meet the needs of a diverse range of service users.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or a related discipline
  • Experience in child welfare or child protection would be well regarded
  • A post graduate certificate in Mediation and Conflict Resolution is highly desirable
  • Individual Family Dispute Resolution Registration Number is highly desirable

OzChild offers:

  • A full-time permanent position
  • 38 hours per week
  • SCHCADS level 5 which equates to $82,000-$86,000 per year plus super
  • Salary packaging up to $15,900
  • Work from home, flexible working arrangements
  • Primary office location is Warrnambool
  • Specialist training and post graduate diploma (fully funded) available to those wishing to pursue a career in Family Law
