About the role

Working within the Practice Leadership directorate, this exciting position will contribute to Our Watch’s national leadership role in the development of the national workforce for prevention practice.

Increasing the quantity and quality of prevention practitioners is a key requirement for increased prevention practice and activity. This role will work at a national level to coordinate a number of actions working towards a systemic national approach to workforce development. This includes consulting with key stakeholders, contributing to the development of a workforce development plan, and leading on activities that contribute to the national growth of infrastructure for prevention practice.

About you

You will have significant experience with workforce development, along with project development and management experience, strong stakeholder engagement and partnership skills, familiarity with evidence ‑ based resource development, and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. You will have a strong knowledge of prevention of violence against women, prevention practitioner training and support, and government actions for workforce development in the family violence response and prevention sector.
