About the role

Reporting to the Manager Policy and Evidence, this role will lead Our Watch’s emerging work on understanding and responding to backlash and resistance to gender equality and prevention, including the way this resistance plays out at different levels, from individuals, to organisational and institutional settings.

This project aims to deepen our understanding of the evidence base on this issue, in order to help inform and enhance national efforts to prevent violence against women.

The role will convene a cross-functional project team, collaborating with colleagues in the Policy and Evaluation, Marketing and Communications and Practice Leadership Directorates, and providing advice across the organisation on the potential for integrating this evidence into Our Watch’s work to prevent violence against women.

About you

You will be able to convene a cross-functional project team to ensure broad internal engagement in the project, and to build ongoing capacity to integrate findings across the organisation. You will be able to identify and foster productive relationships with relevant stakeholders to strengthen the national capacity to understand and address resistance and backlash to prevention and gender equality, including consulting and collaborating with a broad range of organisations and experts.
