About the Organisation

Central Queensland, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast PHN (The PHN) is an independent not-for-profit organisation funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health to improve the health outcomes of the region. It covers over 169,500 km2.

The PHN coordinates primary and preventative healthcare – that is, the healthcare that takes place outside of a hospital, such as General Practitioners (GPs), allied health, chronic disease management, aged care, mental health and Indigenous health.

THE POSITION

Based on the Sunshine Coast, this role will be instrumental in delivering reforms in primary care Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs (MHAOD) services to improve the delivery of connected care for consumers.

Reporting to the Senior Manager MHAOD, the role will lead and manage the PHN's Mental Health Intake and Service Navigation teams. The Manager will work with primary care, low intensity and psychological therapy providers to assist people to connect to the MHAOD services they need and ensure services are of high quality. The Manager will lead the PHNs MH clinical governance and clinical quality assurance processes and will proactively work with internal PHN teams to integrate services to deliver client-centred solutions. The Manager will contribute to the effective delivery of the PHNs Joint Regional Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Plan.
