The position is 38 hours per week and some flexibility is required in working hours. The right person for the job will manage the setup, fit out and ongoing operations of a new social enterprise. The social enterprise is a zero waste, affordable and ethical supermarket and library of things.

Requirements

  • Program Manager Experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of social justice principles
  • Skills and experience in business management
  • Proven success in project and business management, with an understanding of retail including food operations.
  • Demonstrated experience and or understanding of working within a community development framework/focus within low socio-economic areas.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including:
  • Social media, marketing and brand management
  • Supermarket/retail experience
  • Community engagement
  • Facilitation, advocacy and negotiation skills
  • Writing skills – reports, correspondence, loan agreements, record keeping
  • Oral skills – liaison, community information sessions, telephone
