The Youth Partnerships Officer incumbent will work on agreed activities to identify, establish and develop partnerships between youth focused and youth led organisations and the Orygen Institute – Orygen’s policy think tank.

Reporting to the Associate Director Government Relations and Policy, the Partnerships Officer will:

  • Identify and establish partnerships with youth focused and with youth-led organisations across Australia.
  • Identify opportunities for youth organisation partners to participate in Orygen institute events and engagements and support the participation of young people connected to these youth organisations.
  • Organise specific events, trainings and knowledge sharing opportunities related to youth mental health policy for youth partner organisations and young people engaged in partner organisations.
  • Participate in the development of the Orygen Institute strategy and drive the implementation of that strategy as it relates to engagement and partnership with youth organisations and young people.

What you’ll need

You are passionate, energetic and determined to make a difference to health and wellbeing outcomes for young people. The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

  • Tertiary qualification in community development, community services, youth work, social work, social policy or equivalent.
  • Experience building and sustaining strong partnerships with youth or community organisation partners.
  • Clearly held value on the importance of working with young people collaboratively, equitably, and intentionally.
