About the role and its impact

Full-time fixed term position available for 2 years.

We believe that all young people deserve to grow into adulthood with optimal mental health. Everything we do is focused on that outcome, pioneering new, positive approaches to the prevention and treatment of mental disorders.

As the Youth Participation Program Manager, your contribution will be to provide leadership and guidance to staff across the organisation to implement specific youth engagement and participation activities in mental health. You can achieve this by coordinating and providing strategic guidance for supporting new initiatives to facilitate meaningful involvement of young people across the organisation.

You will have exceptional skills in communicating and working with young people in a health related setting, combined with significant experience working with young people in a community and/or health related setting. You will have a commitment and understanding of the principles of youth engagement and participation and how this translates at an organisational level.

As a guide, remuneration of $95,000 - $105,000 per annum is offered, dependent on skills and experience; NFP generous salary sacrificing opportunities are also available to the successful candidate.

About you

As a Youth Participation Program Manager, you will have:

  • Proven experience in managing the needs of young people engaged in a variety of activities across an organisation.
  • Theoretical and applied knowledge related to youth participation and engagement.
  • Multi-perspective understanding to the development and implementation of new projects.
