About the role and its impact

  • Full-time fixed term position available for 12 months with the possibility of renewal dependent on funding.

We believe that all young people deserve to grow into adulthood with optimal mental health. Everything we do is focused on that outcome, pioneering new, positive approaches to the prevention and treatment of mental disorders.

As the Web Application Developer, your contribution will be to work on our systems for digital youth mental health. You can achieve this by delivering quality contribution to the ongoing development work of our Moderated Online Social Therapy (MOST) web platform. You will work with the development team to maintain, test, fix, improve and further develop the MOST system, and will assist in determining decisions made by the development team. Teamwork is the key in working together toward a common vision.

As a guide, remuneration of $70,000 - $85,000 per annum is offered, dependent on skills and experience; NFP generous salary sacrificing opportunities are also available to the successful candidate.

About you

As a Web Application Developer, you will have:

  • Proven experience in developing database-driven web applications.
  • Proficiency with developing in a Linux, Apache, PHP, SQL Stack environment.
  • A sound level of professional skill and a good understanding of modern office technologies and practices.
  • An understanding of and commitment to software ethics and security issues.
  • An ability to problem solve and exercise judgement when performing web development activities and where issues require escalation.
