THE OPPORTUNITY

The Systems team is focused on delivering quality services to our users through the development and maintenance of Orygen’s web platform and inferences.

While also supporting the front end Kentico website, this position focuses heavily on continuing the custom development of an ERP system which has the purpose of automating tasks and supporting the decision making of Orygen’s senior leaders.

THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT

The Senior Web Developers role is designed to aid the management of Orygen’s internal information and office systems and applications that relate to .NET, Drupal LMS and our ECRF (Research database), as well as our forward-facing Kentico environment.

The role requires a person who can investigate issues outside of their current skills set, that is pro-active and is flexible when priorities shift. To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and can build trust with internal and external stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU

The following key selection criteria must be met to be successful:

  • 6 years + experience in Kentico CMS
  • 6 years + of .Net Development experience in designing, developing and implementing enterprise-level, n-tier, web-based, software solutions
  • Strong knowledge of C#, IIS, Visual Studio, SQL Database design and development, latest website security methods.
  • Good hands-on knowledge of Web Application Performance, CSS, Javascript, jQuery,  XML & WebServices
  • Experience in e-commerce
  • Ability to provide accurate timing estimates for work based on verbal and written technical briefs.
  • Ability to investigate issues outside of their current knowledge or skills set
  • Ability to plan actions and work to tight deadlines, working effectively both independently and as a part of a team in an environment with changing and competing demands.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • High level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team and stakeholders.
