Senior Clinical Educator - Clinical Training Team

Orygen Specialist Programs (OSP), a program of Melbourne Health, provides specialist mental health services for young people aged 15 to 25 and focuses on providing early intervention to young people with severe and complex mental illness.

Your new team:

The Orygen Clinical Training (OCT) service works to build the capacity of our workforce through the development and delivery of innovative, high-quality evidence-informed training opportunities. The OCT team works collaboratively with stakeholders across all areas of Orygen, to improve the delivery of mental health and wellbeing services to young people and their families/carers.

Your new role:

  • Partner our clinical leaders, senior clinicians and professionals to develop high quality evidence-based training to support the youth mental health workforce across all levels of experience
  • Collaboratively develop strategies to support new initiatives to embed new skills and build sustainability across Orygen’s clinical workforce
  • Develop initiatives to increase inclusion across capacity building activities, by including perspectives from individuals with lived experience of mental ill-health, First Nations heritage and CALD backgrounds.

About you:

  • Relevant registration and qualifications
  • Comprehensive experience in clinical practice within the mental health field, including young people experiencing mental health disorders
  • Committed to evidence-informed practice, adult education principles and the inclusion of young people and family/carer perspectives
  • Passionate about improving young people and their families’ mental health and wellbeing through building the capacity of the youth mental health workforce.
