The Senior Access Team Clinician will provide leadership, daily operational management, support and supervision to a team of Access Clinicians at headspace Sunshine.

You will:

  • Support a driven and inclusive team to deliver excellent youth friendly early intervention services.
  • Support provision of youth-friendly early intervention services at the headspace Sunshine.
  • Ensure access team operate within headspace philosophy and strategic directions, as well as local policy and procedure framework.
  • Provide direct intake, assessment, care planning, referral, advice and consultation services to young people, their families/carers and community professionals/agencies.
  • Be involved in service development and community engagement/awareness raising activities.

What you’ll need

You are passionate, energetic and determined to make a difference to health outcomes for young people. In addition, you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline such as Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Nursing.
  • Full registration with AHPRA or eligibility for registration with AASW.
  • Previous experience in providing leadership and supervision to staff and students, working effectively in a multi-disciplinary team in a health setting.
  • Extensive experience in the planning and provision of mental health care.
  • Demonstrated capacity to problem solve effectively and work creatively with young people, particularly within an early intervention framework.
