The Senior Full-Stack Engineer will play an integral role in the development evolution of MOST features, ensuring security, testing, technology integration and further innovation to provide high quality releases to a user base of young people, health professionals and international partners. As the Senior Full-Stack Engineer you will support the development of backend services, analytics, third-party integrations, API development and working closely with DevOps to ensure smooth high quality operation of MOST across deployments.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, Orygen Digital you will:

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams.
  • Collaborate and assist in design, development and evolution of services, analytics, infrastructure.
  • Support software architectural design and integrations to create highly scalable, cost-aware architecture components ensuring best practices and values.
  • Provide technical leadership and first-hand experience crafting end-to-end solutions and designing complex backend systems.
  • Implementing Cloud infrastructure as code.

What you’ll need

You are passionate, energetic and determined to make a difference to the mental health outcomes of young people.

In addition, you bring:

  • Proven experience in commercial development.
  • In-depth proficiency with one of: Python, Golang or JavaScript/Node
  • Hands-on development experience of microservices, Lambda/Serverless, event driven systems, industry experience of multiple AWS infrastructure services and Specification and implementation of RESTful API’s, messaging/events.
  • Industry experience of multiple AWS infrastructure services: ECS, EC2, Route53, S3, API Gateway, Athena, IAM.
  • Technical experience and proficiency with; CI/CD pipelines and automation, logging, testing, monitoring, containerisation using Docker, Kubernetes and Linux and bash scripting.
  • An ability to problem solve and exercise high level judgement, with skill in determining when to independently manage versus when to escalate.
  • Software architecture, composing and integrating technology stacks or third part API/services.
  • Big data services, infrastructure and analytics pipelines.
