About the role and its impact

We are seeking applications for a part-time Education Sector Project Officer. This position is fixed term position available until 31 May 2021.

Based at Parkville, you will initially commence work remotely from home. All applications will be accepted within the state. You must have confidential home office space and reliable internet connection.

We believe that all young people deserve to grow into adulthood with optimal mental health. Everything we do is focused on that outcome, pioneering new, positive approaches to the prevention and treatment of mental disorders.

As the Education Sector Project Officer, your contribution will be to support various education sector projects focussed on international students, and to to ensure timely implementation of project activities. You will work closely with an international student Peer Worker to support students engaging in various working groups and training activities. Providing administrative support to the Project Manager, you will also engage with various stakeholders including education providers, international students, mental health services and government departments.

As a guide, remuneration of $60,000 - $65,000 per annum is offered, dependent on skills and experience; NFP generous salary sacrificing opportunities are also available to the successful candidate.

About you

As the Education Sector Project Officer, you will have:

  • Previous office administration or project support experience
  • Strong time management skills with an ability to meet project deadlines effectively
  • Capacity to develop and maintain positive stakeholder relationships
  • A general understanding of organisations that support the health and wellbeing of young people
  • Capacity to undertake accurate data collection and report writing tasks.
