about the role
The role of Consultant, People and Engagement is to provide specialised support to the operational needs of the team by assisting in the implementation and monitoring of human resources activities, processes, functions and systems on behalf of Office of the Public Guardian (OPG).
key responsibilities
- Provide accurate and relevant information on contemporary human resource management processes to management and staff of the OPG.
- Deliver a timely and high-quality service ensuring adherence to relevant policies and procedures and continually seek business process improvement.
- Process and seek approval for establishment variations and manage fortnightly review of establishment and organisational charts.
- Monitor HR practices to ensure compliance with departmental requirements and contribute to the development of HR procedures and practices.
- Provide timely, high-quality advice, support, and training on electronic document management tool systems.
- Assist with the preparation of correspondence, forms, reports, briefing notes and submissions.
- Identify problems that arise during processes and tasks that fall under the scope of the role and problem solve to identify possible alternatives aimed at facilitating effective solutions.
- Contribute to data quality management principles, including documenting, implementing and routinely reviewing data to ensure they meet the needs of the business.
