ONCALL Training College is a Registered Training Organisation providing training to both individuals and organisations. We provide short courses, accredited courses and custom-designed courses to support training and professional development requirements to community services staff and organisations. We are looking for a Youth Worker Trainer across Youth Work, OoHC/CYFI, Mental Health, Community Services, Alcohol & Other Drugs who holds the relevant teaching qualifications, teaching experience and recent industry experience in the following areas:

  • CHC40313 - Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care) (preferred).
  • Certificate IV in Youth Work, Community Services, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) or Mental Health (or a higher qualification);

Requirements

Ideally, you will have:

  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in the CYFI sector or have a background in Youth Work.
  • Professional interest and knowledge of youth-specific issues, an understanding of trauma-informed care practice and working knowledge of DHHS.
  • A strong desire to motivate and educate new support workers to the CYFI sector – ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of the role of a Residential Care Worker and the OoHC framework.
  • Finally – be interested in developing new programs to support the growing needs of the OoHC/CYF sector – seeking ways to ensure new workers are equally passionate and dedicated to this specialised and key role.

To be considered, you must have:

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 with the TAELLN & TAEASS units
  • Current industry skills
  • Vocational competencies and current industry skills relevant to the training & assessment being delivered
  • Experience within Vocational Education and Training
  • A Working with Children's Check  
  • National Police Check
