The position

The role is a SCHADS level 4 classification. The position is offered as a full-time maximum term contract to 30 June 2023.

The position is based at Richmond, with regular travel to other locations. The successful incumbent will be provided with a fully maintained motor vehicle which may also be used for private purposes within the State of Victoria.

KIF is an outreach parenting support and case management program working with families where one or more parents has problematic alcohol and other drug use. The Senior KIF Case Manager’s key purpose is to increase parenting capacity, life skills and social connection, and decrease risk to children and their families.

A day in the life of this position includes: visiting families in their homes to provide support, counselling and referral, linking parents to drug treatment services, helping families to strengthen their community links, advocating for the needs of family members, assisting with school holiday programs for children, providing peer support for other case managers, and maintaining detailed case notes.
