About the role

We’re looking for a Strategy Lead to join our team!

This role will join our team of over 25 digital specialists, and will report to our Head of Services, leading a team of strategists working on digital, fundraising and campaign strategies that unlock the growth potential of our purpose-driven clients.

As part of this work, our experienced team of strategists develop strategies that combine deep market, organisation and audience insights with clear, focused implementation recommendations. We have big, bold, global ambitions to reshape the NFP and for-purpose sector for a new generation of customers . That’s why we’re looking for an experienced strategy leader, skilled at developing successful strategy processes, teams and client relationships.

This newly-created role will further define our strategy service proposition to meet the evolving needs of the sector, lead and develop our high performing strategy team and act as a senior advisor on our largest and highest profile projects and clients.

What type of strategies are we talking about?

  • Digital strategies

We work with clients to develop digital strategies that provide insights into their brand, market and audiences, identify unique opportunities for growth through digital, and give clear steps to implement these strategies through multi-year projects.

  • Next-gen fundraising strategies

Our fundraising strategies start from a deep understanding of how and why people donate to charities. We combine audience research with fundraising trends to deliver strategies that include digital fundraising, traditional approaches, and regular giving products, then work with organisations to make these come to life.

  • Data and technology strategies

Data and technology are crucial enablers of modern customer focused organisations. We help organisations understand what role technology and data will play in helping them achieve their organisation objectives and strategies. From requirement gathering to shortlisting technology options to change management. We walk side-by-side our clients on their transformation journey.

About you

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience in digital strategy and fundraising
  • You have a strong understanding of digital marketing, with experience developing and implementing digital and/or technology transformation strategies.
  • You have working knowledge of digital marketing platforms (social media advertising, search advertising, SEO, email marketing, etc) and understand how to use multiple platforms to deliver digital marketing campaigns and fundraising appeals.
  • You will have experience leading implementation of a major marketing technology investment, from business case to vendor selection to implementation. This should be for a CRM, website and/or marketing automation platform.
  • You have experience building and leading a high performance marketing team.
  • You are commercially savvy and have experience developing budgets, forecasts and working with performance metrics both digital and commercial.
  • You are eligible to work in Australia and in the Melbourne timezone.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • lead our Strategy team to develop strategies for some of Australia’s most well-known not-for-profits and for-purpose businesses
  • Meet with clients to deliver project updates and advise them on opportunities and risks in the implementation of their strategy
  • Ensure the organisation delivers projects that have real impact on organisations
