The role of the Family and Service Facilitator is to support and monitor families and service providers ensuring quality care provision in the In Home Care environment.
This is an in-office position, located next to the train station in Summer Hill NSW 2130.

About In Home Care Support Agency

The In Home Care Support Agency is part of NSW Family Day Care Association. Established in 1976, NSW Family Day Care Association is a pro-active organisation committed to supporting Family Day Care and In Home Care services, by providing advocacy, training, mentoring in the provision of an educative model which reflects best practice early childhood education and care in the family home.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Assess individual family needs and requirements against the program's eligibility criteria
  • Facilitating 'Management Plans' for families
  • Provide guidance to families and In Home Care service providers
  • Maintain compliance in accordance with funding requirements, service policies, and applicable laws and regulations
  • Keep updated with sector knowledge and relevant legislation
  • Work cooperatively as part of a team in maintaining up to date records of families and service providers
  • Broker relationships between eligible families and service providers and support services
  • An understanding of complex family situations

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Social Welfare or relevant qualification or experience
  • Strong understanding of Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Sound knowledge of current early childhood legislation, duty of care responsibilities, accountability and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team as well as foster community networks
  • Well-developed organisational, evaluation/assessment and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
  • National Police Clearance or willing to obtain
  • Current Child Protection Certification or willing to obtain
  • Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination or medical exemption
