WORK TYPE

  • 1 x Full time position. 2 year contract.
  • Located near Central Station with current work from home options.
  • There will be a focus to deliver workshops and information sessions in the South Western Sydney region.
  • There will be some regional and remote travel.
  • Salary packaging available.

ABOUT COUNCIL FOR INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY

CID is a peak body representing the rights and interests of people with intellectual disability in NSW.

CID undertakes advocacy, information provision and projects that advance the rights of people with intellectual disability.

ABOUT THE POSITION

CID’s More Than Just a Job project supports people with intellectual disability to develop skills and confidence to participate in the workforce while increasing employer’s capacity to employ people with intellectual disability in meaningful work by supporting them to develop inclusive processes.

The role also includes working with services to improve their understanding of how to support people with intellectual disability to find and maintain employment.

You will be able to co-develop and co-facilitate accessible training workshops, including one-on-one training sessions with your colleagues with intellectual disability.

You will be keen to engage with external stakeholders and promote the rights of people with intellectual disability to work in open employment.

You will be keen to engage with people with disability, and their supports.

You will be competent in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
