About the program

Sitting within the Marketing Division the Database Coordinator sits within the Donor Development team which is responsible for donor communications, appeals, acquisition and retention. The team also receives and processors donations and aims to provide a high level of donor satisfaction, support and care.

About the role

Reporting to the National Manager, Donor Development, the Database Coordinator is responsible for three core areas within the team:

  • Manage data importing and exporting to the fundraising database (Salesforce) for fundraising and marketing activities.
  • Updating donor data to maintain quality and compliance.
  • Deliver reporting and analysis on Marketing and Fundraising activities as needed.

Other Key Responsibilities

  • Import and export data from Salesforce to achieve campaign objectives.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to clean existing data and validate and append external data to enhance data quality.
  • Ensure ongoing data privacy, hygiene, integrity and quality, highlighting and remedying any data inconsistencies.
  • Support the creation of campaign reports and contribute to end of campaign review, analysis and insights.
  • Providing timely campaign and appeal reporting and analysis to all areas of the marketing and fundraising department and external suppliers and consultants.

Your background

  • At least 3 years’ experience in database related roles coupled with tertiary qualifications in IT, Business Statistics, Research or related disciplines.
  • Have a high level of data handling and manipulation skills across a range of software platforms (CRM and reporting) and ability to interrogate data efficiently using standard database query tools.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and Power BI database software and statistical reporting packages (Highly desirable)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Up to date on current trends and technologies in data handling, reporting and security.
  • Understanding of fundraising segmentation and modelling across multiple fundraising disciplines including: Gifts in Wills, Trusts and Foundations, Major Donors, Appeals, Regular Giving, Community Fundraising,
