The Northern Rivers Wildlife Hospital (NRWH) is looking for an exceptional social media/ admin/donor management all rounder with experience to assist the hospital ready for opening

The NRWH has recently signed an agreement with DPI to transform a two Hectare Site in Wollongbar for use by NRWH as an Animal Hospital. We need an on site admin manager to monitor all facets of this transformation.

Major Roles:

  • Donor and member relations
  • Social Media and member communications
  • Assistance with Grant Applications
  • Project management and budget tracking
  • Assist in transformation of site from a residence to an Animal Hospital

Responsibilities include:

Marketing

  • Regular social media posts ( FB, Instagram)
  • Regular EDM updates to members (Mailchimp)
  • Maintaining NRWH website (Wordpress)

Donor Care

  • Maintaining membership list and contact with members via MailChimp
  • Chasing member applicants for annual membership payment
  • Regularly checking membership have been renewed on schedule
  • Chasing members who renewal payments have failed
  • Organising bi-monthly members nights – sending invites, ensuring at least one board member attends the event
  • Advising board of membership numbers with view to keeping above 50 for DGR status
  • Alerting board of any new applications and getting approval

Secretary duties

  • Responding on behalf of the board to any correspondence from members or other parties who contact the organisation via the [email protected] address
  • Drafting correspondence
  • Compiling board meeting agenda based on input from various parties; distribute agenda
  • Keep minutes and facilitate flow of meetings/act as meeting timekeeper
  • Distribute minutes for Board review and approval
  • Distribute minutes and other documentation to relevant parties as directed by Board
  • Act as ambassador for the group and maintain or develop relationships with stakeholders
  • Organising annual AGM – sending invites and chasing for attendance

Project Management

  • Monitoring progress of trades
  • Accepting deliveries
  • Tracking invoices and payments
  • Reporting progress to board

Hours

  • Work from Lindendale Road Wollongbar approx. 15 hours per week ( Min 3 days)
  • Check email from home at least 5 days per week
  • Contract or permanent part time position for 6 months with renewal based on performance
  • Available for board meetings one evening per month

Selection Criteria

  • Competent on computer with Gmail, Mailchimp, Excel and Wordpress or similar
  • Experience in social media
  • Donor or member liaison skills
  • Project management Skills
  • Budget control skills
  • Managing contractors experience
  • Animal Welfare experience as vet nurse or carer desirable
