The Principal Solicitor is responsible for the operation of the Centre’s legal practice, supervises the Centre’s legal work and works closely with the Centre Manager, who is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Centre. NRCLC is looking for an experienced solicitor with demonstrated skills in legal practice, demonstrated capacity to work within a community development framework and experience working with communities that experience barriers to accessing justice.

The position is banded from SCHADS Award Grade 7-8 $110,406 - $123,23 pro-rata, plus leave loading (dependent upon qualifications, skills and experience), superannuation and access to PBI Salary Packaging.

2021 is an exciting time to join the NRCLC team as we commence work to realign ourselves firmly on Bundjalung Country through a facilitated consultative process of Yarning Circles with staff, the Committee of Management and the broader community.

To better frame our work in social justice, we are currently developing a Community Development Framework and this year the organisation we will be co-designing our Strategic Plan to ensure our ways of working are in line with the needs of our communities and clients.
