The Dental Assistant position (part-time or full-time, 0.6 – 1.0 EFT) will contribute to the achievements of the organisation’s aims and objectives by assisting dental operators to perform their duties to the highest standard and thereby enable effective and efficient delivery of dental services to the community.
The position requires the understanding and application of the social model of health, drawing on health promotion and community development principles and practice to ensure an inclusive and culturally appropriate client centred workplace and health promoting model of care. The delivery of care may occur across sites and in outreach, place-based care.
