Senior Case Manager - Alice Springs

NPY Women's Council

Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Council was founded and is still led, governed and directed by women from the NPY region in central Australia. It was created to give a voice to women across 26 desert communities in the cross-border regions of Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Today, we continue to provide progressive, innovative and evidence based work in service delivery, advocacy and support.

The NPYWC Youth Service works with children and young people (aged 10-25) and their families living in the NPY region and is integral to the work we do. The Youth Service model is based on four key components: Case Management, Leadership and Education, Youth Diversion and Recreation and Advocacy.

We are now recruiting for a Senior Case Manager to provide guidance and support with complex case management. This role will mentor and help all staff in the Youth team on best practice principles and quality assurance.

On a day to day basis the position will oversee case reviews, support and train staff in the in-house case management system and mentor staff in case management practices out in the communities. This role will also be the town support for clients.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years’ case management experience with young people. In addition, ideally, you will have worked with Anangu people and have Central Australian working experience. This is a critical role for the Youth team and we’re looking for someone who is passionate about the importance of delivering case management services to clients.

The successful person will be central to the team so you must have the ability to work with different styles and approaches in case management delivery. We’re looking for someone who is assertive but also has the compassion to work with our staff and clients on sensitive complex issues.

We offer a range of benefits and you will join a diverse and inclusive organisation in an environment and landscape unique to Australia. NPY Women’s Council was founded and is still led today by women from the NPY region and you will be part of something much more significant than just a job.

Underpinning this will be a competitive, above award based salary, superannuation, salary packaging benefits, 5 weeks of annual leave, 3 days of additional leave, retention bonus and generous personal leave to care for you and your family. We also provide access to an Employee Assistance Program for independent and confidential counselling.
