Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Council was founded and is still led, governed and directed by women from the NPY region in central Australia. It was created to give a voice to women across 26 desert communities in the cross-border regions of Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Today, we continue to provide progressive, innovative and evidence based work in service delivery, advocacy and support.

The People and Workplace Services team are responsible for delivering a professional and best practice Human Resource service to the employees and clients of NPY Women’s Council. We work together with other programs to employ a diverse mix of talent and to create a high performing culture that is innovative, inclusive and safe to work in.

People and Workplace Services are a business support team that includes Administration, Human Resources, Property and Vehicle Maintenance. It also forms part of a wider Corporate Services division that includes Finance and Information Technology.

We’re a small team with big ideas and we’re now recruiting for a HR Officer to join us on our journey.

This is a HR generalist role and works across a number of HR portfolios. The role will provide growth, career development and the chance to work in a team that values creative thinking, support and flexibility; along with wellbeing.

This role will be a critical part of the team moving forward due to a number of exciting projects and organisation improvement.

We’re looking for someone who has experience in Human Resources and has an interest or has worked in community services. The ideal person will have a balance of skills that focuses on the detail but also the big picture.

We need someone who enjoys managing HR systems and administration processes whilst working with a diverse range of people needs. In addition, we’re looking for someone who is flexible, personable and can provide an excellent HR service to the business.
